NRA Birthday Special Event November 17, 2018
The Yavapai Amateur Radio Club (YARC) of Prescott, AZ, is planning to operate a special event station November 17, 2018, in celebration of the NRA’s 147th birthday. The special event station will operate from Gunsite Academy’s 2,000-acre campus in Paulden, AZ, north of Prescott.
The special event call sign will be K7NRA. Operations will be conducted on the following frequencies: 7.040, 7.250, 14.040, 14.250, 21.040 and 21.335 MHz. The hours of operation will be from 1500 to 2400 UTC. KL7R will again be operating a satellite station.
Due to logistics and equipment availability issues, the CW operation will take place between 1800 and 2400 UTC.
The Ohio QSO Party is an opportunity for amateur radio operators around the world to celebrate the great state of Ohio.

For Amateurs inside the state of Ohio to make contact with as many Amateurs as possible both inside and outside of Ohio. For Amateurs outside the state of Ohio to make contact with as many Ohio stations as possible. Non-Ohio stations may work only Ohio stations, while Ohio stations may contact anyone.
The Ohio QSO Party occurs on the fourth Saturday of August. The contest period extends from 1200 EDT [noon] to 2400 EDT [midnight] (1600Z Saturday until 0400Z Sunday). All stations may operate the full twelve hours. The 2018 contest is on August 25th.
