This is a reminder to those that inform Larry (N8OWS) This email address is being protected from spambots. Again it is the duty of the leadership to protect the membership from the virus in the way the experts have told the public will help prevent it from spreading; no matter if we like or believe that they are correct in their assessment.

On a lighter note I would like to explain how our Member Voting takes place, Jim Tommer W8MIJ is the Election Chairman this year.

First he determines who is eligible to run for office according to the By-Laws.

He then asks these individuals if they wish to run for Office and if so what Office.

At the September Business Meeting any member may Nominate for Office any other member who may accept or reject the Nomination.

Following the Meeting he then makes out the Official Ballot which is sent to the Web Manager to post on the Woodchuck Web Site.

Voting is only available by mailing in your Ballot with your name and return address on the envelope or by filling out a Ballot in person at the November meeting, prior to the start of the meeting only, (should that meeting be able to occur this year). The mailing address is on the Ballot.

Your vote is private, only your name from your envelope is checked out on the membership list prior to opening the envelope and then only the Ballot is placed in a container with all the others without anyone reading it. After all the ballots are placed in the container only then is the count made by three members who’s results much match before a winner is announced.

The Ballot is available on the Web Site (www.woodchuckarc.com) .
